Universal Geneve Gilt Shadow Ultra-Slim

Here is a stunning, all original ultra-slim Universal Geneve Gilt Shadow from 1972. The brown sunburst dial is in very fine condition with barely any marks. It has a gilt lettering UG logo and golden strip hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. The golden fils hands are in excellent condition. Note that due to the ultra slim profile, this watch does not have a seconds hand. At 3 o’clock, the white framed window displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. The brushed gold plated c-shaped case with the original crown and crystal is in very fine condition, with just a few small marks apart from a small chip on the right side below the crown, at the underside of the case. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a circular brushed pattern and slight wear.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, UG’s fantastic 2-67 movement with the micro-rotor makes the ultra-slim profile of the watch possible. The watch was fully serviced in April 2022 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
