Revue Thommen Cricket AS 1475

Here is a fabulous, all original Revue Thommen Cricket from 1996. The silver dial is in mint condition, with a guilloché center and a radially brushed chapter ring. The chapter ring contains faceted golden bar hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, and an Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock. The golden baton hands are in very fine condition with the original lume. The alarm setting hand has a black arrow tip.
 
The gold plated bezel is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The gold plated case with the original crowns and beautifully curved lugs is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. The brushed stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with the Revue Thommen engraving and just a few marks.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
The alarm is set by pulling out the crown at 2 o’clock and can only be set counterclockwise. To wind the alarm turn the crown clockwise. The 4 o’clock crown is used to set the time. When the hands reach the set alarm time the alarm buzzes very loudly for about 20 seconds. The alarm can be stopped by pulling the 2 o’clock crown out. It is not advisable to keep the crown in the outer position while wearing the watch as that risks bending the stem.
 
Inside the watch, Revue Thommen’s version of the classic AS 1475 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
