Omega Seamaster pre-De Ville Automatic 14K Gold Bezel/Lugs

Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster pre-De Ville from 1963. The golden dial is in very fine condition, with an extraordinary checkered diamond pattern and light vertical brushing. A couple of tiny marks below the “Seamaster” lettering are its main flaws. It has wedged golden hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, double at the poles. The golden baton hands with the original lume are in fair condition with some corrosion, in particular on the hour and seconds hand.
 
The solid 14K yellow gold bezel is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and slightly spread solid 14K yellow gold lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, mostly towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and just a few minor marks and scratches.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 550 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2021 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
 
The very rare dial on this watch makes it very attractive and collectible, and the overall condition only emphasizes that. This is a wonderful watch to wear for those special occasions or as part of a regular rotation schedule.
