Omega Seamaster Jumbo Hippocampus

Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster from 1958. The two tone champagne dial looks fantastic, with a steel Omega logo and a scatter of nearly invisible corrosion spots. The dial has uncommon double diamond cut steel hour markers at the poles and faceted wedged hour markers in between. The dauphine hands are in fine condition, with light corrosion visible under magnification.
 
The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The very slim for the era stainless steel case with the original crown and straight, chunky lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, most visible at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a worn jumbo hippocampus engraving and some scratching and marks.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 520 movement beats strongly and accurately to
within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2022 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
 
The fabulous dial makes this watch completely unique and it looks just great on the wrist. Combined with the more classic design of this watch than the typical Seamaster, it is a great addition to any vintage collection.
