Omega Seamaster De Ville Automatic

Here is a gorgeous, all original Omega Seamaster De Ville from 1966. The silver sunburst dial has taken on a unique patina through a scatter of tiny corrosion spots and looks absolutely fantastic. It has a steel Omega logo and emblem and faceted steel hour markers with black onyx inlay, double at 12 o’clock. The baton hands are in fine condition, with some corrosion visible on the minute and seconds hands. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.
 
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, most notable at around 1 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and slightly spread lugs is in fine condition with some wear at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and very few marks. It carries the inscription “Waterproof”.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 562 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in February 2021 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
 
The fabulous and unique dial makes this Seamaster De Ville a vintage lover’s dream. It looks absolutely stunning on the wrist and is a great conversation starter.
