Omega Seamaster
Here is a lovely, all original Omega Seamaster from 1968 in a rare, oversized reference. The grey dial is in fine condition, with a radial brushing and a scatter of tiny corrosion spots that look more pronounced in the pictures than to the naked eye. It has a steel Omega logo and black script lettering and the hours are marked with steel railroad style markers with black contrast, wider markers at the poles. Some of the hour markers show some corrosion upon close inspection. The baton hour and minute hands with black contrast are in fine condition, while the seconds hand shows some corrosion. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock shows the weekday in Spanish and the date, of which the date can be quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. This should only be done with the hands at the bottom half of the dial.
The very wide sunburst pattern stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition, with a few marks on the inside where it closes on the crystal. The large stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs has a brushed face and sides and polished bevel and is in very fine condition, showing a few marks at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion and one shallow scratch crossing into the hippocampus.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 752 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
This Seamaster looks great on the wrist with its weathered dial and big, bold case. This is a superb daily driver that is also a nice conversation starter.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
