Omega Seamaster

Here is a wonderful and all original Omega Seamaster from 1969 in an oversized version. The golden sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a golden Omega logo and faceted golden hour markers with the original black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double marker at 12 o’clock. There is a tiny bump at the 57 minute mark and a couple of tiny spots on the Ω. The golden baton hands with the same lume and contrast are in very fine condition. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. This should only be done with the hands at the bottom half of the dial.

The gold capped bezel/watch face is in very fine condition, with a few marks at both the top and the bottom. The brushed gold capped case is in very fine condition, with the original crown on a C-shape body. It shows a few scratches and nicks throughout, perhaps most pronounced on the left side. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and some scratches and nicks.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Gold capped versions of this Seamaster reference are not very common, and combined with the large size of this reference, this watch looks fabulous on the wrist. This is a watch that will serve well as both a daily driver and as part of a regular rotation schedule.
