Omega Constellation Chronometer C shape
Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Constellation C shape from 1971. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has steel strip hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double at 12 o’clock. There are some small marks on the dial, all of which are basically invisible to the naked eye; a small mark just below the dial’s center and another under the 2 o’clock hour marker, as well as some marks along the rim at 10 and 12 o’clock. The left lume dot at 12 o’clock and the lume dot at 3 o’clock have largely disintegrated. To the naked eye the dial looks minty. The steel baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume and black contrast. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi-quick set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. This should only be done with the hands at the lower half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel has a subtle sunburst pattern and is in fine condition with light overall wear. The C shape stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs is in very fine condition, with a radial pattern on the face and brushed sides with a sharp, polished bevel separating them. It shows very light overall wear with a few tiny nicks at the right side being the most visible. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a well preserved steel Geneva observatory medallion and a few small marks.
Inside the watch, Omega’s perhaps best movement ever, the 564, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
Constellations are perhaps our very favorite series, with a very classic and timeless design. The C shape design adds a different dimension to the series, and the great condition of this watch makes it easy to love. This is a watch that fits well for those special occasions while also being a great part of a regular rotation schedule.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
