Omega Constellation Chronometer

Here is a gorgeous, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1961. The silver sunburst dial has taken on an even and warm golden patina and is in very fine condition, with barely any marks. It has a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star and faceted steel bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. The steel dauphine hands are in very fine condition.
 
The wide stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light wear, the most noticeable at around 12 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and lovely drop shaped lugs is in very fine condition, with only a few small marks, mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved gold Geneva observatory medallion and only a few smaller marks.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 551 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
