Omega Constellation Chronometer Day-Date
Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1968. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has a small mark to the right of the Omega logo and also below its center. The dial has steel bar hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends. The steel baton hands are in excellent condition, with the same black contrast and lume as the hour markers. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the weekday in French and the date. The date can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. Setting the date should always be done with the hands at the lower half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel continues the sunburst pattern of the dial and is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and slightly spread lugs is in very fine condition, with polished facets and brushed sides and light overall wear, most prominent at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved Geneva observatory medallion and a few marks along the rim from misguided attempts at opening the back.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade caliber 751, beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The Constellation series is perhaps the best example of the timelessness of Omega’s designs, with a stylish design that still looks fresh today. This is a watch that goes well for all occasions while also being a nice investment that will only grow in value over the next decades.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
