Longines Admiral Chronometer Full Set
Here is a fantastic, all original full set Longines Admiral Chronometer from 1975. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Longines logo winged hourglass and barely any marks. It has steel bar hour markers with lume dots at the inner ends at 6 and 12 o’clock. The faceted baton hands with the original lume are in very fine condition with some degradation to the lume. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 22:30 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.
The octagonal stainless steel watch case with integrated lugs and the original crown is in very fine condition, with sharp angles on the blocky body, showing only a few small marks towards the corners. The radially brushed stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a couple of marks.
The high quality generic leather strap has the original Longines buckle in very fine condition. The papers show the watch was first sold in Japan in October 1975.
Inside the watch, Longines’ high grade 6651 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
Full set watches are always great collectors items and this one looks fabulous. The bulky case makes the watch really stand out on the wrist and it is a great conversation starter with its iconic 70’s design. This is a watch that can be worn with any occasion while also adding to any vintage collection.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
