Longines Admiral Automatic

Longines Admiral Automatic

SKU: VWS-1631

Here is a fabulous, all original Longines Admiral Automatic from 1962. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Longines logo and a scatter of tiny corrosion spots, which are not really visible to the naked eye but makes the dial seem to sparkle. It has deep and thick faceted Arabic numeral hour markers apart from at 6 o’clock where the small seconds hand is. There are lume dots at the poles apart from at 6 o’clock, and steel spheres for the minutes in between. The leaf hands are in fine condition with the original lume intact.

The stainless bezel is in fine condition with a few marks of wear, perhaps most notably at around 2 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and lightly faceted lugs is in fine condition, with light overall wear, mostly towards the lugs. The radially brushed stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean Admiral 1200 medallion and very few marks.

The watch comes on an after market fishbone stretch steel bracelet. It is free-size and is large enough for big wrists.

Inside the watch, Longines fantastic 350 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in February 2022 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This watch showcases what Longines are best known for; classic designs and strong engineering. The watch looks fantastic on the wrist and will certainly put a smile on your face. This is a watch that will serve you well for many years to come.
