LeCoultre Powermatic 14K Gold Case

Here is a gorgeous, all original LeCoultre Powermatic from 1953. The black gilt dial is in fine condition, with a script LeCoultre logo and a golden art deco numeral at 12 o’clock. There are a few marks on it which are difficult to see with the naked eye given the dark dial. It has golden strip hour markers with lume dots at the inner ends and golden spheres for the minutes. Below the 12 o’clock marker is the power reserve indicator, showing up to 40 hours when fully wound. The golden sword hour and minute hands are in fine condition, with the original lume intact. 
 
The solid 14k gold case with fabulous crab claw lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with light overall wear, both on the face and the sides. The solid 14k gold case back is in fine condition, with just a few marks.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s wonderful bumper 481 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2022 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
