LeCoultre Master Mariner Automatic

Here is a wonderful, all original LeCoultre Master Mariner from 1960. The silver dial is in fine condition, with a steel LeCoultre logo and steel Arabic numeral hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, double at 12 o’clock. There is a small factory error in the alignment of the logo and some of the lume dots have disintegrated. There are a few small marks around the edge of the dial, such as at around the 8 o’clock marker. The long leaf hands have the original lume and are in fine condition.
 
The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition, with light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and elegant straight lugs is in very fine condition with just a few marks of wear. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with radial brushing and a few marks of wear.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s high grade caliber 880 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2021 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
 
The unsual dial both in terms of having Arabic numerals and the slightly misaligned logo makes this watch not only stand out on the wrist but also a great conversation starter. This is a watch that will add to any vintage collection.
