LeCoultre Master Mariner Automatic

Here is a wonderful, all original LeCoultre Master Mariner from 1967. The silver sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a golden LeCoultre logo and steel railroad style hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. The minutes are marked with steel spheres. There are a few small marks around the center and edge of the dial and the logo has oxidized a bit. The baton hands are in very fine condition. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 23:00 and then forward through midnight again until the date changes. Repeat as necessary.
 
The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and straight lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with radial brushing and an inscription showing the watch was a workplace award.
 
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s high grade caliber 881 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2021 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
