IWC Vintage Dress Watch caliber 854B

Here is a wonderful, all original IWC automatic from 1968 in an oversized version. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition with barely any spots or marks apart from slight patination at its center. It has a steel IWC block logo with the script logo underneath and railroad style stainless steel hour markers with the original black contrast. The baton hands have the same contrast and are in very fine condition. The hack stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to set the time to allow for more accurate time setting.

The stainless steel “bezel” is in fine condition, continuing the sunburst pattern of the dial and showing light overall wear such as at 4 and 5 o’clock. The square-ish stainless steel case with the original fish crown and embedded lugs is in fine condition with light overall wear, mostly towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a brushed central pattern and is in fine condition with light overall wear.

The original Milanese steel bracelet is in very fine condition and looks fabulous with the watch. It is large enough for big wrists.

Inside the watch, IWC’s high grade 854B movement with the Pellaton winding system beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
