Delbana Jumbo Chronograph

Here is a stunning and rare, all original Delbana Chronograph from around 1958. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with barely any marks. It has a golden Delbana logo and golden wedge hour markers, larger markers at 6 and 12 o’clock. There are two subdials, the 3 o’clock hour dial for the minute counter and the 9 o’clock subdial for the running seconds. In addition to the black minute track, there are two other scales around the edge of the dial; a navy blue tachymeter scale and a red telemeter scale. The golden lance hands are in very fine condition.
 
The gold plated bezel is in very fine condition, with just a few marks such as at around 9 and 12 o’clock. The gold plated case with the original crown and pushers is in very fine condition with very little wear apart from on the crown and pushers and where the case back meets the case. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a brushed finish and the Delbana engraved logo.
 
The watch comes on a sturdy after market leather strap of good quality.
 
Inside the watch, the legendary Landeron caliber 248 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-15 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2021 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
 
Delbana has made a lot of beautiful watches in their nearly century long history, but this one really stands out. It is a wonderful piece of watch history and a great addition to a vintage collection.
