Bulova Chronograph F Cal 14EFAD

Here is an awesome and rare, all original Bulova Chronograph F from 1972. The dial is in excellent condition, with a dark blue center, a dark brown chapter ring with painted silver hour markers with lume dots and two lighter brown chronograph subdials. The 3 o’clock subdial shows the chronograph seconds and the 9 o’clock subdial shows the chronograph hours. The dial has a white tachymeter scale in the rehaut with speeds from 200 to 50. The baton hour and minute hands are in very fine condition, with white tips and black roots with the original lume. The bright orange chronograph seconds hand shows light wear with a small mark at the counterbalance end the most notable. The black chronograph hands are in very fine condition. Note that this watch does not have a running seconds hand. The white framed window at 6 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again until the date changes. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel/watch face is in excellent condition with a small nick at 11 o’clock as the most notable mark. The stainless steel case with hooded lugs and the original crown is in excellent condition, with brushed bevels and polished sides. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a brushed center and polished slopes.

The generic blue leather strap has the original Bulova buckle in very fine condition.
Inside the watch, Bulova’s version of the Tag Heuer caliber 12 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2020 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This is a stunning and rare vintage chronograph that looks awesome on the wrist with its big size and outstanding condition. It is a watch that can be worn as a daily driver while also being a great conversation starter.
